Average Prices for NFL Tickets Rise

According to Team Marketing Report’s annual survey of ticket prices reports that the average price to an NFL ticket has risen 3.9% to 74.99, mainly due to the new ticket pricing scheme at the Dallas Cowboy’s new Cowboys Stadium. The Cowboys have the highest priced average ticket cost at $159.65. The highest average ticket price in 2009 for New England Patriots tickets which have kept prices the same in 2009. If the Cowboys had kept their prices the same, then price for an NFL ticket would only have been 0.6 percent higher than 2008’s $72.20. Other teams with other high average ticket prices include the Chicago Bears, New York Giants, Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets. Prices for the 2010 football season are sure to rise next year as the New York Giants and New York Jets both move into their new home, the New Giants stadium. Link to 2009 NFL Fan Cost Index PDF.

Stubhub ranks the top ten NFL football game tickets

Stubhub has ranked the top ten NFL football game tickets for the 2009-10 season. Brett Fave has made Vikings tickets a much hotter tickets, while the Chicago Bear’s fans also have their hopes pinned on a new QB. Over 1000 tickets must be sold to make Stubhub’s top ten NFL Ticket list.

NFL Football 2009-10 Hot Ticket Outlook

The NFL kicksoff Thursday September 10th at the Tennesseee Titans visit the 2009 Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers. Brette Farve has Vikings fans psyched up and the Vikings will visit Arizona, Carolina, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Pittsburgh, St Louis and Green Bay’s Lambeau Field. The Vikings will also host the Packers. Other NFL games of note for the 2009-10 season incude New England at Denver, NY Giants at the Cowboy’s Cowboys Stadium and Dallas at Denver. The Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers will also visit the Ravens, Bears, Browns, Broncos, Lions, Chiefs and Dolphins.

Usc travels to Ohio State and has games versus Washington, California, Notre Dame, Oregon, Arizona St, UCLA and Arizona. 

Notre Dame plays USC, Michigan, Boston College, Navy, Pittsburgh, and Connecticut.

Tennessee Titans Divisional Playoff Tickets Onsale Dec 30

Single-game tickets for the Tennessee Titans’ AFC Divisional round playoff game are set to go onsale December 30th at 10 am. The Titans are currently the number one seed in the AFC and will play the second seeded team the Pittsburgh Steelers today. The Titans’ Divisional playoff game will be played January 10th or 11th.

NFL Plans To Lower Playoff Ticket Prices 10%

Average ticket price for National Football League playoff games in 2009 will decrease by 10 percent according to NFL officials. The NFL will also charge less per ticket for Wild Card Playoff games

Teams have the right to set their own ticket prices for playoff games, however it has been reported that the football league has distributed guidelines for playoff ticket pricing to potential playoff teams.

The NFL playoffs are set to begin January 3rd and 4th.

The NFL previously announced that 25% of all tickets for the Super Bowl in Tampa will have a face ticket price of $1,000.
